Kevin Barnett is an outstanding motivational speaker. The topics that he speaks on are based on his personal experiences in life. His life story of finding his birth parents after 56 years is the foundation of LivingMyShadows. Kevin’s experiences in the foster care program, being adopted and succeeding in the US Military will motivate anyone that has experienced obstacles in their life. The first 10 years of Kevin’s life was full of torture, hatred, and greed from his first two foster parents. He was found dying of malnutrition with a bottle of spoiled milk. He had to be fed through his ankles because he couldn’t open his mouth to drink. Those individuals were cruel; however, that was only the beginning. Kevin’s next foster parents were very mean and he suffered for nine years until one passed away and the parent was forced to give him back to the state. The next foster parents were the ones that he later took on their last name. Given all the obstacles that Kevin encountered, he was still able to succeed in life. He never gave up on finding where he came from. Kevin found his birth mother and the reason she had to make the toughest decision of her life. Kevin’s story will have you crying and laughing all at the same time.

Irving Mims is the Head Trainer at The Training Cave located in Wilmington DE and has a highly extensive background and thorough knowledge in football. In 2000, Irving Mims was well on his way to a professional football career as he played for the NFL on the Miami Dolphins practice team until a severe knee injury forced him to retire his dream as professional player. After his rehabilitation in 2003, with a strong love for the game, Irving would over the next seven years continue to play for many notable football organizations including the Arena Football League AF2 Jacksonville Tomcats (2003), National Indoor Football league Lincoln Capitals and Myrtle Beach Stingrays (2004-2005), CIFL New York/New Jersey Revolution and the Lehigh Valley Outlaws (2006-2007), Minor League Football’s Flemington Generals and the New Jersey Stags (2008-2010). In 2010, Irving decided to retire as a football player and begin to shape his new dream of helping young athletes to follow their dreams with his knowledge and training experience. After relocating to Delaware, Irving realized the overall need for training and agility camps in Delaware. Irving has gained a strong rapport with many young Delaware athletes and their families. He founded this organization on the basis of ensuring young athletes have the valuable resources they need to become successful as he once was one of those athletes himself.
